Q. How long does ISO certification last?
Once an organization gets ISO Certificate it lasts for about 3 years.
Q. Is there a need to renew the ISO certificate?
No there is no need to renew this certificate. But the auditor conducts surprise checks from time to time to make sure all the standards are met.
Q. Which ISO standard do I need?
As there are many ISO standards to consider, it is often that a person can get confused which to consider. For this, we’d recommend that you at first get the ISO 9001 quality management, as this is the core standard that most of the other well-known standards are based on. If your company is involved in a lot of waste-producing activities or in waste and recycling activities, we’d recommend you definitely consider ISO 14001 environmental management. Or if your company is involved in a manufacturing business, then you’d benefit from ISO 45001 health and safety, as a lot of heavy machinery is used. The best way to find out more about this is to contact our experts today.
Q. Do we need to have a team looking after the ISO or would it be the responsibility of one person?
This would depend on the size of your business and how many resources you are willing to dedicate to the ISO. However, we always advise whatever the size of the business, that more than one person is responsible / has knowledge of the ISO and how it works within your business.
